Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, a spokesman for the Ministry of Health, said that the reason for changing the dates of issuing the daily statement for statistics of infections, deaths and recovery from the Corona virus, is the decrease in the number of people infected with the virus who need care in hospitals for more than two weeks.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar added, during a phone call with the “Al-Hayat Al-Youm” program broadcast on Al-Hayat channel, that what happened is an indicator of the country’s success in confronting the fifth wave of Corona and the mutant Omicron, which also means the end of the peak of the fifth wave of the virus.
Abdel Ghaffar said: “We have finished the peak of the fifth wave of the Corona virus, and in order for there to be a sixth wave of the Corona virus or not, this is determined by the citizens and their awareness and awareness, when everyone receives the Corona virus vaccine, the spread of the virus will be limited and very little among citizens.”
