CareerSource Central Florida is committed to supporting veterans and their families in their job search ⁢endeavors. To that end, they are hosting the Hearts ⁢for Veterans job fair across all their Career Centers.‌ This event provides ‌a platform for veterans to connect with local employers seeking to fill open positions.

Whether veterans are seeking their next career move or transitioning to civilian life,the job fair offers a valuable opportunity. Attendees are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resumes and ⁢be prepared for on-the-spot interviews.

We spoke with Jeremy ‍Davis, Director of Veteran Services ⁢at CareerSource Central Florida, to learn more about this valuable initiative.

archyde: Jeremy, thank you for taking the time to speak with us today.Can you tell us about the “Hearts for Veterans” job fair and ⁤its purpose? 

Jeremy Davis: It’s our pleasure to be here.The “Hearts for Veterans” job fair is a crucial initiative aimed at ⁤supporting veterans and their families in their job searches. We recognize that transitioning from military to⁢ civilian life can present unique challenges, and we want to provide a‍ platform where veterans ‌can connect directly with employers⁢ seeking their talents and experience.

Archyde: What types of employers‌ will be present at ​the job fair, and what kinds of opportunities can veterans expect to find?

Jeremy Davis: We’re thrilled to have ‌a ⁢diverse ⁤range of employers participating, including the City of Orlando, Addition Financial Credit ​Union, Price Chopper, Allied Worldwide, McLane, Walden​ Security, Rosen Hotels & Resorts, Alorica, UF Health, and Lake County Transit,‍ just to name ‌a few. The opportunities span a ⁢wide range⁢ of industries, offering⁤ everything from​ skilled ⁢trades and administrative roles to customer service, security, and⁣ healthcare positions.

Archyde: What advice would you ‌give veterans‌ attending the job fair to maximize ​their chances of success?
