Heavy rains in some nearby areas of Makkah region behind the weather forecast. Many vehicles were washed away on the roads. It also rained in Makkah Masjid-ul-Haram.

The National Meteorological Center has warned of moderate to heavy rain today (Friday). The Directorate of Civil Defense has warned that rain with thunder and lightning will continue in the region till 7 pm.

Makkah Emirate has warned that Taif Al Hada Road will be temporarily closed in both directions as a precaution due to the rain.

The Meteorological Center said the temperature will also drop in several other areas of the country, including Madinah, Tabuk, Al Jouf, Northern Borders, Hail and Al-Qasim. The King Abdulaziz Airport Authority in Jeddah also asked passengers to contact their airlines to check their flight information. King Abdulaziz Airport has announced that some flights may be delayed due to weather conditions.
