1. FC Heidenheim made it into the German Bundesliga for the first time in a very exciting promotion final on Sunday, while Hamburger SV has to go into relegation once more. Heidenheim won in the last round of the 2nd division with an own goal, a penalty and a goal in the 9th minute of added time following being 2-0 down at Regensburg 3-2, thus ousting the already celebrating HSV from the promotion ranks and accompanying Darmstadt to the House of Lords.
