Helicopter Crash in Broward County Hospitalizes Four: Latest Updates and Safety Measures

Four people had to be hospitalized when a helicopter from a Broward County fire brigade (southeast Florida) crashed on a building for undetermined causes, authorities reported.

No fatalities have been reported so far.

Authorities said two of the occupants of the helicopter, belonging to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, and two civilians who were in the building where the aircraft crashed were hospitalized, without elaborating.

The helicopter, apparently carrying three people, came down on a single-story residential building in Pompano Beach around 8:45 a.m., following witnesses said it was engulfed in midair by smoke and flames and then began to spin uncontrollably.

The images of the television channels showed the firefighters watering the impact building with water, on whose roof a large hole was visible.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area of ​​North Dixie Highway and Atlantic Boulevard in Pompano Beach.
