Hema Commission report to be released; WCC firm at the meeting | Hema Commission

Thiruvananthapuram: The Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) has demanded the release of the Hema Commission report. The WCC made its position clear at a meeting convened by Culture Minister Saji Cherian to discuss the Hema Commission report. The WCC asked to know the observations in the report. However, Minister Saji Cherian said the report would not be released.

Actress Padmapriya and Bina Paul said the meeting was disappointing. Both said the discussion would not be effective without knowing the details of the commission’s recommendations. At the same time, actor Siddique responded that he agrees with 90 per cent of the recommendations in the Hema Commission report. 10 percent seem to have practical problems. He said the ‘mother’ organization had no objection to releasing the commission’s findings.
