The artist, Mohamed Al-Sharqawi, was born in the Sharkia Governorate on January 16, 1954, and then his family moved from the Sharkia Governorate to the Shubra neighborhood in Cairo.
His talent appeared during his childhood, where he represented and gathered children to watch him, and the school social worker noticed his talent and helped him develop it.
And he chose for himself the name Muhammad Al-Sharqawi in relation to the artist Jalal Al-Sharqawi and in recognition of his beauty because of his choice to act in a play directed by him, and he was followed by senior theater artists such as Ibrahim Saafan.
