Steffel begins his speech: “We all feel what an emotional day this is, it’s a new start.” Steffel makes it clear that he will resign as Fox President, which he held for 17 years, in the event of an election victory . Steffel on his connection to Hertha: “I’m someone who is passionate regarding sport. I suffered and celebrated with Hertha for 50 years.” Steffel speaks in a loud voice, talks emotionally, irascibly. From time to time there is applause, but it’s not as loud as with Bernstein.
