A member of the “Strong Republic” bloc, MP Pierre Bou Assi, tweeted on his Twitter account, writing, “Hezbollah’s live ammunition drives a new wedge into the Lebanese body in light of the impotence and complicity of the ruling system.”

He added, “Among the kermis games in Mleeta are missiles, snipers, artillery, marches and maneuvers.”

And he continued, “The worst thing is that they claim to protect Lebanon and its sovereignty, while linking it to an axis that starts from Iran and does not end in Gaza, on the impact of the Hussainian latamiya.”

Bou Asi asked, “What is the state’s position on this arrogant impunity? What is the position of the partners in the homeland regarding this arrogant behavior?”

And he stressed that, “Lebanon is our homeland, and we will not allow anyone to kidnap it, neither by force of arms nor subservience to the axes nor flimsy arguments.”

For his part, member of the “Strong Republic” bloc, Representative Elie Khoury, wrote in a tweet on his Twitter account, “We reject any form of maneuvers by armed groups other than the Lebanese army.”

He pointed out that, “These operations harm the legitimacy of the state, its owners and what they represent, so we need to expedite the election of a president for the republic. The time has come to restore central Lebanese legitimacy and extend it to all Lebanese lands, and to abolish any presence of armed factions within the state.”

Khoury added, “Only with this can we achieve sustainable peace and stability, as we adhere to our commitment to Lebanon and we cannot allow any military forces other than the Lebanese army to determine the course of our country’s future.”

Today, Sunday, Hezbollah conducted a military maneuver with live ammunition in southern Lebanon, which is considered one of the largest to be held in front of the media. It included a military parade and simulated attacks targeting Israel through a drone or storming.

About 200 party members participated in the maneuver that took place in the town of Armati, regarding 20 km north of the border with Israel, on the occasion of the anniversary of Israel’s withdrawal from southern Lebanon on May 25, 2000.

During the maneuvers, the party displayed different types of light and heavy weapons, such as rocket launchers, vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns or anti-aircraft guns, in addition to anti-tank and shoulder-launched missiles.

A high cement wall, similar to the one that Israel raised at the border with Lebanon, was raised in the place, and slogans such as “We are coming” were written on it near a picture of the Dome of the Rock mosque, “We will cross” and “Tough might.”
