The 4th tug of the Boluda Group (Spain) arrived at the port of Lomé (PAL) on Friday.
For the occasion, the president of the company, Vicente Boluda, traveled to Lomé.
He had Kokou Tengué, the Minister of Maritime Economy, at his side.
The 23-meter tugboat, named ‘VB Lomé’, was manufactured by a shipyard in Vietnam.
PAL has awarded a towing activity management contract to the Spanish company
The company is structured into two divisions: Boluda Towage (for towing service) and Boluda Shipping (for sea and land transport and port logistics).
Tugboats are relatively small, very powerful and very maneuverable boats, used to guide, pull, push large boats entering and leaving ports, they help them in particular during docking maneuvers.
