Leogang – What a race! The Downhill World Cup made a guest appearance in Salzburg’s Leogang on Saturday and provided the spectators with a real spectacle. Due to the rain at the beginning of the week, the course was a muddy track. The course pushed the runners to their limits and for some, like France’s Marine Cabirou, it may well have been the last race of the season. After a nasty fall, Cabirou landed squarely on his back, breaking three vertebrae in the process. She let her fans know via social media that she was doing well given the circumstances and was already thinking regarding her comeback.
