The Board of Directors of Hopium announces the appointment of Sylvain Laurent, Managing Director since December 2022, to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors, replacing Alain Guillou, who held the position since March 2023. The company specializing in Hydrogen mobility has been in receivership since the end of July. Administrator of Hopium since December 2021, Sylvain Laurent is an engineer by training. He was notably President of the Asia-Oceania region of Dassault Systèmes, and was named Chairman and Executive Vice President of the Group in 2022.
His appointment to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors will be subject to the approval of the next ordinary general meeting and concerns the duration of Alain Guillou’s remaining term of office, i.e. until the general meeting called to decide on the accounts closed on December 31, 2024.
“The fuel cell developed by Hopium is one of those technologies capable of democratizing accessibility to hydrogen-powered electric means of transport. This is why our teams remain fully mobilized to finalize its development up to prototype level,” declares he.
