The most commonly used methods for acquiring games under sanctions from Western developers have become known. Researchers from the XYZ School online school analyzed how much money the average gamer from Russia spends and what alternative payment options he chooses.
According to the survey, most of the problems with buying games are related to Steam (56%) and PlayStation Store (20%). It turned out that most often gamers now buy keys and gift certificates from intermediaries (27%), as well as replenish the internal wallet of sites through third-party services (26%). 19% of Russian gamers use a VPN or have already changed their account region.
41% of players said that they spent no more than ₽5 thousand on games following the departure of Western publishers. 20% of respondents spent from ₽5 thousand to ₽10 thousand, as well as from ₽10 thousand to 20 thousand. only 5% of the respondents.
