Due to difficulties with foreign flights, Yekaterinburg residents began to choose cities in Russia more often: in June, 93% of flights were domestic. According to Yandex.Travel analysts, Sochi, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad and Mineralnye Vody are among the most popular routes.
– This June, fewer users from Yekaterinburg than a year ago will fly on vacation – the number of trips has decreased by 17%. Interest in flights within Russia decreased by 22%. This is largely due to the suspension of the operation of southern airports (in Simferopol, Anapa, Krasnodar, and so on), as a result, passenger traffic has shifted towards rail and bus transport. At the same time, the number of flights abroad has almost tripled compared to last June. The main reason is the abolition of restrictions related to the pandemic, — analysts of the service explain.
