“How to Access Protein Vale: The Latest Initiative from the Ministry of Economy and Finance to Support Vulnerable Families in Peru”

To give a boost to the family economy, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) announced that the Protein Vale or also called “Vale Pollo” of S/ 25 will be delivered to vulnerable people, for a period of four months.

As part of the Con Punche Peru 2 plan, Alex Contreras, head of the MEF, said that this measure will benefit 1.2 million Peruvian families.

“A temporary Protein Voucher of S/ 25 will be delivered for four months, which is complementary to the FISE Discount Voucher of S/ 25”said the minister.

How does this mechanism work?

“It will be charged within the FISE Vale. At this moment there are 1.2 million people who have this bonus with their electricity bill, with which they receive a discount to buy gas. Now they will have an additional S/ 25. It means that a ball of gas, which costs approximately S/ 50, would practically pay the price of the entire ball”narrowed.

Contreras ruled out that it is a voucher to directly buy chicken. “It is called Vale Proteico because you free S/ 25 which can be used to close this food gap that is very large”, he pointed out.

In addition, the executive specified that the amount of this average is S/ 120 million.

During the presentation of the Con Punche Peru 2 plan, he stated that it is aimed at continuing to promote the reactivation of the economic activity of families, regions, productive sectors and the country.
