Movie star Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee ended their marriage amicably following 27 years. The couple met in 1995 and married a year later. They have Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.
The duo said in a statement published by “People” magazine: “We shared nearly 3 decades together as a couple in a wonderful marriage full of love. Our journey has now changed and we have decided to separate to pursue our future individually. Jackman and Deborah met in 1995, while filming the Australian series “Corelli”, to marry less than a year later on April 11, 1996, and over the years they became one of the most beloved couples in Hollywood.
On their 27th wedding anniversary last April, Hugh shared a touching greeting for his wife, saying: “I love you, Deb. Together we have created a beautiful family. Your laughter, your spirit, your generosity, your sense of humor, your courage, and your loyalty are a wonderful gift to me.”
