Budapest/Vienna – The Hungarian government has denied that a refugee camp is being built near the Austrian border. Rather, the facility near the village of Vitnyéd, which is currently apparently under renovation, will likely be used as a holiday camp for young people in the future, said Hungarian Chancellery Minister Gergely Gulyás, according to the official MTI news agency on Thursday evening. The alleged refugee camp had also led to unrest and protests in Austrian politics.
