One of the callers asked Sheikh Mabrouk Attia, I have done all the sins that you can imagine, I have made a family of forbidden things, and my conscience is torturing me, what should I do to atone for my sins?
The Sheikh replied, “This family is what you brought and you are married. If it is yours while you are married, then he is your husband’s son, even if it is 100% forbidden, because the Prophet said the boy to the bed.”
The woman said: “I am tormented and my conscience is hurting me.. The sheikh replied, This is the devil who wants to laugh at you.
And she added, “I pray and fast in order to atone for my sins, because I feel that my soul is tormented and my conscience hurts me.”
Mabrouk Attia replied to her: “You will pray and fast before you commit a sin. Atonement for sins is not through prayer and fasting. There are two needs that atone for sins, the first is repentance and the second is charity, citing a divine garden: “The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, I have not seen better than modern charity. for an old sin.
She said, “I want to know that my Lord is satisfied with me.” He replied, “Do what God asked of you, and he will be satisfied with you.”
