Thierry Henry revealed, on the “Diary of a CEO’” podcast, that he had problems with depression during his career as a player and coach, only realizing the situation later, during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“During my career I must have been depressed. You knew? No. Did I do anything regarding it? Of course. But somehow I adapted.

I lied for a long time because society was not prepared to listen to what I had to say”, said the former French international, now coach of the France under-21 team.

Thierry Henry also recalled the difficult moments experienced during confinement due to the worldwide epidemic of the new coronavirus. At the time he was coaching Montreal, in Canada, and was away from his family.

“I didn’t see my children for a year. It was difficult,” she recalled. “I cried almost every day for no apparent reason, the tears appeared”, recalled the former player from clubs such as Arsenal and Barcelona, ​​adding:
