‘I wouldn’t go near it if you paid me’: Princess Anne admits hating technology

During the COVID Unsung Heroes Awards, which took place at Windsor Castle and honored women working in science, engineering, maths and technology, Princess Anne confessed that she is not at all aware of the latest technologies.

Meaghan Hall, an epidemiologist, asked the princess, according to the Daily Mail, to take to Twitter. To which the princess replied, “My God, no! I don’t even have an email account.”

Unlike the rest of her family, the daughter of Queen Elizabeth II actually has no account on social networks. She has no Twitter, no Instagram, no Tik Tok, and not even an email address.

In the documentary ‘Anne: The Princess Royal Turns 70’, Anne already spoke regarding her struggles to understand technology, saying: “I know what Twitter is, but I wouldn’t go near it even if you paid me frankly ” she had explained with humor. “With online technology, being in touch is one thing, but it’s not quite the same. The ability to meet people is what makes the difference.”
