Polish star Iga Schwartek advanced to the semifinals of the French Open women’s singles final with her 33rd consecutive victory. Jessica Pegula of the United States surrendered to Iga this time. In the men’s semifinals, Croatia’s Marin Cilic and Norway’s Caspar Rudd advanced to the semifinals.

Iga dropped just five games in the quarter. The 11th seed overtook the American Pegula 6–3–, 6–2. In the winning streak, Iga is aiming for an unbeaten 35-run jump from Venus Williams in 2000. Winning the title would match Venus’ record. Before that, Iga will face Russia’s Daria Kasatkina in the semifinals.

Daria secured her first Grand Slam semifinal by defeating Russia’s Veronica. Daria was the 2014 French Open junior champion. Seventh seed Croatia’s veteran Marin Cilic advanced to the semifinals following defeating Russia’s Andrei Rublev. Silich’s victory came in a five-set battle. In the semi-finals, Silich will face Norway’s Caspar Rudd. Caspar Rudd, who is training at the Rafael Nadal Academy, advanced to the semifinals following beating Audenburg’s Holger Rune in the quarterfinals. If Nadal and Caspar win the semis, the clay court at Roland Garros will witness an exciting final.
