Rome – The International Olympic Committee (IOC) rejects plans to renovate the ice track in Cesana near Turin with a view to the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics in 2026. In a statement, the IOC referred to technical deficiencies in the bobsleigh track in Cesana, which was abandoned six years following the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. Innsbruck-Igls can therefore continue to speculate regarding Olympic competitions.
