Russia is deprived of the right to host Ice Hockey World Cup in 2023.

International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) decided to postpone the World Cup from Russia, which was to be held in May 2023 in St. Petersburg.

According to the IIHF, the decision to postpone the tournament was made for the safety of all hockey players, officials, media and fans.

At the end of February, the IIHF suspended Russia and Belarus from international hockey tournaments until further notice.

At the same time, Russia was deprived of the right to host the MFM-2023, which was supposed to begin at the end of December in Novosibirsk and Omsk
