Ilo police chief asks the MPI for greater control of nightclubs

Given the proliferation of nightclubs where many of them operate without the respective license, the head of the Police Division of Ilo PNP Commander Elías Utush called on the Inspection area of the Provincial Municipality of Ilo (MPI) to verify if they have the respective authorizations, if not, he asked to apply the corresponding fines or proceed with the closure, either temporary or permanent.

In a meeting held at the Provincial Citizen Security Committee (COPROSEC), the provincial mayor promised to work on the issue.

“We hope that it will do so in the shortest possible time, because there are many premises that have appeared without any license,” he said, following reiterating that it is the responsibility of the local authority and that inspection operations are expected to be carried out.

Utush specified that nightclubs in the Pampa Inalámbrica have already been visited, fines have been placed, however, he was of the opinion that they should be carried out permanently, because almost every week they open a new location or close them and open them with another name.
