Immerse in Contemporary Occitan Music: La Talvera Concert in Pampelonne’s Boyals Hamlet

2023-08-23 03:10:00

As part of its summer cultural program, the town hall of Pampelonne, in partnership with the ADDA du Tarn, Departmental Association for the Development of the Arts, is organizing a concert on Thursday August 24, at 8:30 p.m., in the hamlet of Boyals.

La Talvera, a group from Cordes-sur-Ciel, will perform for an immersion in contemporary Occitan music. Through its concerts and balls, La Talvera explores the traditional Occitan repertoire, while working to create a musical and poetic repertoire rooted in today’s world. Today La Talvera is a group, of course, of Occitan music, but also unclassifiable and colorful, so much has it been enriched by its many encounters and travels. In addition to singing, the instruments used are essentially the “craba” (bagpipes from the Montagne Noire), the “graile'” (oboe from the Monts de Lacaune), the fife, the clarinet.

It will be possible to eat from 7 p.m., with Les Saveurs pampelonnaises. Registration on 06 46 62 65 48.
