Impacts of ultra-processed food: the Parliamentary Scientific Office is organizing a public hearing on Thursday September 22, 2022 at 9 a.m.

What are the human health impacts of consuming heavily processed foods? How are these foods taken into account in nutritional policy recommendations? What are the consequences of the development of industrial food on eating habits and behaviours?

So many questions on which experts in nutrition, nutritional epidemiology, eating behaviour, sociologist and chef will shed light on the OPECST.

The hearing will take place on Thursday 22 September at 9 am. It will be broadcast live on the Senate website then available in video on demand. Internet users can now submit questions by connecting from a computer or a mobile phone to the question management platform. Some of these questions can be posed to the speakers.

The Parliamentary Office for the Evaluation of Scientific and Technological Choices is chaired by
Pierre HENRIETdeputy (Vendée – Renaissance).

Its first vice-president is Gerard LONGUETsenator (Meuse – Les Républicains).
