Islamabad: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has hit back at the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court quashed the no-confidence motion, which was rejected without a vote. The court also overturned the president’s order dissolving the National Assembly. The Supreme Court has ordered a no-confidence motion to be put to a vote on April 9. The verdict was handed down by a five-member Supreme Court bench.

The Supreme Court has said that a no-confidence motion should be put to a vote on Saturday, April 9 at 10:30 pm (Pakistan time) and that no member should be barred from voting.

The Supreme Court ruled that the no-confidence motion was unconstitutional. A bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Atta Bhandyal passed the order.
