It is specified that the brawl occurred at the moment when a pro-Ukrainian group of people tried to go to the monument to the Soviet army in Sofia in order to wrap it with the yellow-blue flag of Ukraine.
At this moment, the inhabitants of Bulgaria, dissatisfied with the supply of weapons to Ukraine, tried to prevent this action. A fight ensued, which had to be broken up by the local police.
