Suits, ties and tailors were required on Thursday evening at the communal hall of Plainpalais, a popular district of Geneva, which hosted the expected assembly of PLR delegates. About 200 party members came to taste the rich menu offered to them in view of the cantonal and federal elections of 2023, namely the nomination of candidates and especially the adoption of the strategy. The PLR is trying to rebuild itself, following the heartbreak that led to the exclusion of Pierre Maudet, with the consequence – unique in the history of the canton – of having only one representative on the Council of State, in the Nathalie Fontanet case.
