The winner of the Kazakh kuresi tournament was Zhaksyzhol Zhanibek, a wrestler from Bukharzhyrau district, who received 500,000 tenge as a prize. This was reported by the department of physical culture and sports of the Karaganda region.
“I didn’t think regarding monetary compensation. There was passion, I just wanted to win. I will give money to my mother for repairs. Happy holiday everyone! The tournament turned out to be cool, especially since there were so many spectators,” said the winner.
Recall that on March 22, in the Central Park of Karaganda, the Regional Department of Physical Culture and Sports, together with the city akimat, organized competitions in national sports: Kazakh kuresi, asyk atu, koy koteru, as well as kettlebell lifting and arm wrestling.
