In the Russian-Ukrainian file, Germany is walking on a wire. On the one hand, Berlin is 100% playing the card of European and transatlantic solidarity, supporting Kiev in the face of threats from Moscow. Seen from Berlin, Brussels and Washington, this crisis reveals a crucial issue: maintaining the stability of the European continent and the survival of a peace hard won since the end of the Second World War. Chancellor Olaf Scholz repeats it: the principle of the territorial sovereignty of states remains a foundation of German foreign policy and of the European Union.
