In Memoriam: Remembering Former Alisa Band Guitarist Andrey Shatalin | Legacy, Contributions, and Condolences

Former guitarist of the Russian rock band Alisa Andrei Shatalin died in St. Petersburg at the age of 64.

Group “Alice” in its social networks expressed condolences Shatalin’s family and friends.

Andrey Shatalin was born in 1960 in Krasnoyarsk. In 1980, he entered the Leningrad Institute of Railway Transport Engineers, where, together with other students, he created the Democritus Well group.

In 1983, Andrei Shatalin, together with members of the Crystal Ball group Svyatoslav Zaderiy and Mikhail Nefedov, created the group “Alice”. A year later, Konstantin Kinchev joined them as a vocalist.

Shatalin played in Alice intermittently until 2003. He took part in the recording of the group’s most famous albums: “BlokAda”, “Sixth Forester”, Sabbat”, “For Those Who Fell from the Moon”, “Black Mark”, “Jazz”, “Fool”.
