A work of art, that is to say, a piece of McDonald’s pickle stuck to a ceiling, is on sale for more than $6,000 in New Zealand.

This work of art, created by Matthew Griffin, is on display at the Michael Lett Gallery in Auckland until July 30.

The artist is requesting an amount of $6,277 for his work entitled “Pickle”.

Opinions are divided on social networks: here are some reactions.

“When I was a teenager, I threw a piece of pickle and then the police asked me out of McDo. Now that’s art,” one user wrote.

“That’s genius,” thought another.

“I hate pickles. I love it,” one person commented.
