Pathanamthitta: Pandalam municipal administration is an embarrassment to BJP. The scandal that took place between the municipal councilor and the chairperson and the councilor was widely circulated in the social media, and the BJP leadership was also on the defensive. It was a proud achievement for the BJP workers that the BJP was able to take power in the Pandalam Municipal Council, which was the powerhouse of the protest programs held in the forefront of the Sabarimala women’s entry issue. But soon following coming to power, infighting and disharmony among the BJP councilors became public. As the interventions of the BJP’s local district leaders proved ineffective, the state leadership also intervened in the matter. Recently, the state secretary Krishnakumar had brought the two parties together and held a discussion. However, it is believed that the problems will not end with this. The municipal chairperson was not aware of the videotaping of the conversation. There is a lot of dissatisfaction among the BJP workers over the incident.
