Nebulossa has been one of the big surprises of the night in Malmo, Sweden, where a controversial edition of Eurovision is taking place due to the presence of Israel in the contest.
The Spanish group’s Zorra has been chanted in unison practically throughout Europe and the “I’m even more of a fox” has signs of becoming an anthem inside and outside the Spanish borders.
In The New York Times they have done a minute by minute of the ceremony and have had some nice words when Nebulossa performed. First they said of Zorra that “it may sound like a normal electro-pop song to English-speaking listeners, but it caused a stir in Spain.”
Here they have explained that certain people liked it precisely because of the use of the word “slut” and they explain to their readers that it basically means “whore.” About the performance they have said that “it is a great success among the public.” And they’ve wondered, “Could it be because it’s arguably the countryliest tune tonight?”
In another live entry they commented that “Nebulossa’s bright looks were created by Michael Costello, an American designer who has dressed Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga.” And they added: “One hour following Eurovision and this is the first patent leather corset we have ever seen!”
