Felix Kammerer is a newcomer on the Austrian acting scene. The 27-year-old has been in the international limelight since his film debut: the Viennese plays the leading role in the German film adaptation of the classic “Nothing New in the West”, which was nominated for the Oscars in a total of nine categories. Kammerer has been part of the Burgtheater ensemble since 2019 and will soon be on stage there in the Thomas Mann dramatization “Der Zauberberg”. We met the actor between rehearsals at the Burgtheater before the Oscar nominations were announced and talked regarding anxiety level 90, female roles and Tiktok.
