Inadequately trained pilot lands the plane; DGCA fines Vistara Rs 10 lakh

New Delhi: The DGCA has fined Air Vistara Rs 10 lakh for non-compliance with safety standards. (Directorate General of Civil Aviation). The DGCA said the pilot of the train had landed at the indoor airport in Madhya Pradesh without adequate training. Fined for air extension.

The DGCA said the pilot, who was the first officer on board the aircraft, landed at the indoor airport without the necessary training in a flight simulator. This is a serious offense that endangers the lives of the passengers on the plane.

The first officer must be trained in landing the aircraft on a simulator before landing an aircraft carrying passengers. The rule is that the captain who must give landing instructions to the first officer must also have similar simulator training. But neither the first officer nor the captain of the Vistara, which landed in Indore, had received such training. This was revealed during the landing of the aircraft.
