Incident in Liège: Man Seriously Injured after Car Collision – Latest News and Updates

A man was seriously injured following being hit by a car on Saturday evening in Liège, the Liège prosecutor’s office said.

A woman born in 1997 lost control of her car while she was driving, Saturday evening around 6 p.m., at the entrance to rue du Collège, near the Huy bridge which overlooks the Dérivation.

The vehicle struck a man who was sitting on a bench. He was seriously injured and taken to hospital.

At the time of his admission to the emergency department, the victim’s vital prognosis appeared to be in jeopardy. His condition then stabilized.

According to initial findings, the driver was heavily intoxicated. She had taken her vehicle following a domestic dispute and was using her cell phone at the time of the swerve.

The young woman was deprived of her driving license for an initial period of fifteen days.
