A person died Thursday morning shortly before 7 a.m., hit by a freight train in Bertrange, according to our information. At this time, it is not known if it was a suicide. Following this incident requiring the intervention of the emergency services at Bertrange-Strassen station, train traffic is interrupted between Bertrange-Strassen and Mamer, the CFL said Thursday morning.

A passenger train is currently stopped on the track, at a level crossing in Bertrange, but its occupants have been evacuated. The CFL have set up replacement buses but specify that delays may still occur due to road traffic. Please note that trains to and from Brussels are canceled in both directions between Luxembourg and Arlon.
