Vienna – The increase in funding rates for university of applied sciences places will come at the beginning of 2024 and not at the start of the coming academic year in October as originally announced. The University of Applied Sciences Conference (FHK) had repeatedly warned that the universities of applied sciences would have to restrict their services from January without inflation compensation of ten percent. After “intensive discussions”, this increase will now be brought forward, announced Education Minister Martin Polaschek (ÖVP).
