India-Australia T20 Tickets to be Rushed; Lathi charge, 20 injured

Hyderabad: Around 20 people were injured in the rush of fans for the tickets of the India-Australia T20 match. The incident took place on Thursday at Jinghana Maidan in Hyderabad. Footage of people hustling for tickets emerged.

The India-Australia T20 match will be played on September 25 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Jinghana Maidan witnessed huge rush to buy tickets for this. The Hyderabad Cricket Association had announced that 3000 tickets would be sold from the counter at Jinghana ground. However, more than 30,000 people came here to buy tickets.

Fans lined up for miles since morning for tickets. Meanwhile, the crowd was forming. Many people were injured in this. Then the police used lathis to disperse the people. National media reported that several people were injured in Lathicharge as well.
