Salalah: India entered the finals of the Junior Asia Cup hockey tournament by defeating South Korea. In the first semi-final held at the Sultan Qaboos Youth and Cultural Complex in Salalah, the youth team advanced to the final by defeating them 9-1. India dominated all aspects of the game. The Korean team tried to return the goal but missed the target. Indian Ambassador to Oman Amit Narang was the Chief Guest. Many Indian expatriates including Malayalees came to watch the match. India’s opponents in Thursday’s final will be the winners of the Pakistan-Malaysia second semi-final.
