Hangzhou > 2023 Asian Games Athletics first gold for India. Avinash Sable won gold in men’s 3000m steeplechase. Avinash clinched the gold with a record time of 8 minutes 19.50 seconds.
This is India’s 12th gold at the Games. Silver and bronze went to Japanese athletes. Currently, India is at the fourth position with 44 medals including 12 gold, 16 each silver and bronze.
