Baku: India’s chess talent has entered the semi-finals of the World Chess Championship. Pragyananda Eighteen-year-old Pragyananda is the first Indian to enter the World Cup semi-finals following Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand. Pragyananda reached the semi-finals by defeating India’s own Erigesi Arjun in the quarter-finals held in Baguio. Pragyananda will face America’s Fabiano Caruana in the semi-finals. With this, Pragyananda has secured his place in the candidates tournament of 2024.
