New Delhi: After winning the Asian Champions Hockey title, the Indian team climbed to the third position in the ranking of the International Hockey Federation. Earlier it was in fourth place. The Netherlands continues to rank first and Belgium ranks second. England, which was in third place, dropped to fourth place. World champions Germany are ranked fifth.

Chennai: Tamil Nadu government has awarded Rs 1.1 crore to the Indian team who won the Asian Champions Trophy hockey. Congratulating the team on their success, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced the award. Stalin was also present to witness the exciting final. India beat Malaysia 4-3 in the final on Saturday.
