An industrial accident occurred in Tseung Kwan O, a male worker fell into a pit and was trapped!

Today (21st) at around 3 pm, the male worker started work at a site outside the Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground at No. 109 Po Hong Road. During this period, he fell into an underground pothole regarding 5 meters deep and his legs were pierced by steel bars. It is understood that some workers pointed out that the male worker was a nailboard worker. He was working on the working platform at that time. It was suspected that the iron rail supporting the working platform was broken, and the worker fell down and was injured.

Firefighters use tools to saw off steel bars and rescue male workers

After receiving the report, the police and firefighters rushed to the scene, sawed off the steel bars with tools, rescued the injured to the ground, and sent the male worker to Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance for treatment. According to on-site information, the site involved is a water main laying project site of the Water Supplies Department. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
