The discovery of a can with unknown contents led to a major police operation on Saturday afternoon, in which explosives experts were also involved. According to the police, an 11-year-old from Fatherstetten found a rusted can in a forest near Ingelsberger Weg and took it with him. Can fell from his hand on the sidewalk and a black powder leaked out. The boy’s father called the police. Since it was not initially possible to clarify on site whether this powder was an explosive mixture, Ingelsberger Weg was closed in this area for about two hours and residents were instructed to stay in their homes. At around 4 p.m., the police explosives unit arrived from Munich and removed the powder. According to the police, there was no danger to the residents.
