It appears that the children who were injured in yesterday’s stabbing in Mierlo tried to separate the man and woman in the family. A police spokesperson told NOS. The injured children were taken to hospital.
A 35-year-old woman died in the stabbing attack in the Syrian family. The police received a report of a violent incident just before 6 p.m. When the officers arrived at the family’s home, the woman appeared to have died in the street. Shortly followingwards, the police arrested her 49-year-old partner as a suspect.
The man and woman lived in the home with five children between the ages of 6 and 20. It is unclear whether they are all children of the couple, or whether it is a blended family.
It is also unknown how the injured children are doing. They are “very shielded” in the hospital, says the police spokesperson.
