Insurance: 5.3% increase in written premiums at the end of June

Premiums issued by insurance and reinsurance companies increased by 5.3% at the end of June, to stand at 29.7 billion DH, according to the Insurance and Social Welfare Control Authority (ACAPS). ).

In detail, the “Non-Life” branch increased by 5.2% to more than 16.45 billion dirhams, driven among other things by the evolution of the “Catastrophic events” segments by 8.4% to 331, 4 million DH, “Bodily accidents” (+5.8% to 2.58 billion DH) and “Automobile” (+8.6% to 7.73 billion DH), according to quarterly statistics published by the Authority.

As for the “Life” branch, it experienced an increase of 5.3% to more than 13.21 billion dirhams at the end of the first six months of the year, in particular under the weight of the “Savings- Support Units of account” (+9% to 10.67 billion DH).
