Marcinelle firefighters were called to intervene for a roof fire this Tuesday in Couillet. The fire broke out in a house located rue de Villers, according to our RTL info correspondent Fabian Vanhove.
When the firefighters arrived, the roof was totally on fire as well as an annex at the back of the house.
Luckily, the owners and occupants were able to leave the premises in time. An ambulance was sent because the owner became unwell.
The police have set up a security perimeter. The house next door was hit.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
